This is the world’s largest hollow Ferris wheel.

The “Eye of the Bohai Sea” opened on May 16 in Weifang City, in China’s eastern Shandong province.

From the top, visitors get commanding views of the coastal scenery of the Bohai Sea, and the Bailang and Haihe rivers.

A grid structure built into the wheel’s rim gives it the structural intregrity to be spoke-free.

The 475-foot-tall wheel is also the first in the world to be built on a bridge.
