This is the world’s largest hollow Ferris wheel.
A big, shaftless wheel
The “Eye of the Bohai Sea” opened on May 16 in Weifang City, in China’s eastern Shandong province.
A grid structure built into the wheel’s rim gives it the structural intregrity to be spoke-free.
The 475-foot-tall wheel is also the first in the world to be built on a bridge.
The wheel can carry up to 360 passengers, and takes about 30 minutes to complete a single rotation.
