    Chinese make-up artist Mao Geping showed off his work at China Fashion Week in Beijing on Monday.

    Mao combines classic Chinese aesthetics with a modern approach, and he says his work is inspired by Classical Chinese poetry and painting.

    "Our show is still based on Chinese culture. We need to refine our culture, and hope to spread this idea through the show.” Mao told CCTV.

    Mao says that he wants to communicate Chinese culture to the wider world, seeing it as one of his responsibilities as a Chinese designer.
